FDA menu labeling compliance for fast casual concept

Client: Quick Service Restaurant

Opportunity

A quick service restaurant was undertaking a rebranding effort, and needed to update menu publications to ensure accuracy and compliance with FDA menu labeling requirements.

Approach

Foodwit coordinated and executed an audit and gap assessment of existing brand assets.  Ingredient and recipe documentation was collected and reviewed for completeness. Back of house recipes and plating measurements were analyzed to create compliant nutrition data. Nutrition information and opportunities for potential claims were packaged for delivery to the brand. Foodwit identified and coordinated with a preferred design agency to develop and deliver FDA compliant in-store materials and digital assets.

Result

  • The restaurant successfully rebranded with compliant in-store and digital menu labeling assets along with a library of compliant claims.
  • FDA compliance achieved in line with regulatory and brand standards.
“We do not have the resources for a full time regulatory resource, so Foodwit is amazing at helping us with our open questions and saves us a TON of time searching the awful FDA website.”
