As our client transitioned manufacturing into the U.S., they were looking for a software system that would accurately maintain and calculate regulatory data as well as support product innovation work.
Approach
To facilitate the client's manufacturing transition from the EU to the U.S., Foodwit implemented a structured and efficient process within Foodwit Workbench, ensuring ingredient regulatory compliance and formulation accuracy. This involved:
- Specification Review: Foodwit reviewed existing EU ingredient specifications, verifying ingredient permissibility, nutritional accuracy, and allergen information against U.S. regulations.
- Systematic Data Import: Compliant U.S. regulatory data, along with supporting documentation, was systematically imported into Foodwit Workbench, establishing a centralized and organized repository.
- Formulation & Specification Building: Utilizing the imported ingredient data, Foodwit developed accurate finished good formulations and product specifications within Foodwit Workbench.
- Continuous Improvement & Maintenance: To maintain ongoing compliance and support continuous product innovation, Foodwit provided proactive maintenance and continuous improvement of the Foodwit Workbench platform, ensuring the client remained ahead of evolving regulatory requirements.
